Privacy Policy

AstroCaddy is a free iPhone app that suggests generic astrology-related products to buy on Amazon. Astrology content is provided for entertainment purposes. The app has no accounts and does not ask for your name, email or any profile. This policy explains what data is used and which services are involved.

What we collect

• Your form answers (level, tradition, interests, goal, budget, optional notes) are sent to our backend to generate a kit. They are not linked to your identity and are not stored with a profile.
• An anonymous device identifier (anonymous Firebase user id) is used only to enforce a daily limit on AI requests.
• Usage and diagnostics (screens opened, taps such as opening an Amazon search, crash reports, app performance) to improve the app.
• Advertising identifier (IDFA) and device/attribution identifiers — only if you allow tracking (see “App tracking” below).

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, health data or precise personal data. We do not sell personal data.

App tracking (ATT)

To measure our advertising, AstroCaddy asks for permission to track using Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you allow it, we and our attribution partners may use your advertising identifier to attribute app installs and events. If you decline, the app still works fully. You can change this any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Services we use

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) — anonymous auth, analytics, crash reporting and configuration.
• Google Gemini (via our own backend) — generates the suggested kit from your form answers. Your answers are sent to Google’s API through our server to produce suggestions.
• AppsFlyer and Meta (Facebook) — install and event attribution for advertising.
• UXCam — anonymous in-app usage analytics to improve the experience.
• OneSignal — push notifications (only if you allow notifications).
• Amazon — product links open an Amazon search in your browser. Amazon’s own privacy policy applies once you leave the app. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

Data retention

Request counters tied to the anonymous device id are kept only as long as needed to enforce the daily limit. Analytics and crash data are retained per the providers’ standard retention.

Children

AstroCaddy is not directed to children. Astrology content is for entertainment.
